Objectives
To encourage the realization
that infancy is a critical period in the psychosocial development of the
individual
To increase the sophistication
of its' members
To promote the optimal
development and wellness of the child and family through prevention,
identification, treatment and support so that they may realize their
maximum potential
To engage in activities that
encourage cooperation and collaboration with other groups, agencies and
individuals that serve children and families within Oklahoma and its
neighboring states.

Historically, focus has been on
first two objectives through information sharing and education

As Ok-AIMH has grown, we are
now positioned to begin to address all the original objectives

mandates have merged such as Early Head Start initiative to incorporate
infant mental health concepts and linkages between Child Welfare and
Part C Early Intervention
